Frequently Asked Questions

Do you shoot film or digital? Why?

I shoot all digital. I feel that the digital medium gives me the widest range to
work with. The picture quality is far superior to film, I can edit out nasty things
like red eye and pimples and I can turn any picture into black & white or sepia.
I shoot with a Nikon D80. I have on all times with me a back-up
Nikon D60 body, at least 6 different memory cards, 5 different lenses,
batteries galore, a tripod, and an extra flash. Plus I have battery
chargers and extension cords if needed.
When you say full preperation and ceremony coverage, what does
"full" mean?
I will show up when asked to and I will follow to the reception, where I give 3 hours paid time.
I have started weddings as early as 6am.  It's not uncommon
for me to work 13-14 hours straight.
I'll go as far as someone is willing to pay me to go. I have done weddings in
Syracuse, Rochester, Corning, New York City,Michigan, Florida and North Carolina so far.
How far will you travel?
What kind of camera do you shoot with? And howmuch equipment do you bring
for back-up?
Do you have a degree in photography?
I do have a certificate of Professional Photography
from the New York Institute of Photography.
Do you require any kind of deposit?
Yes, I require a $500 deposit on day of booking, which is
non-refundable whatsoever . I then require half to be paid a month
before the wedding, which is non-refundable and I require the rest
the day of the wedding (or before, if preferred)
What has been your biggest complaint?
The only complaint I have ever recieved, and the one I get from
every wedding is that I take too many pictures and they can't decide
which they want blown up~! Not a bad complaint if you ask me!
Do you have any references?
Of course! You can check out my testimonial page !
Why don't you have a studio?
I do, it's everywhere! I don't believe in the indoor "studio" setting. I know as soon as I walk
into a studio I become nervous and am never myself! I believe that to truly capture who a
person really is, the best of them, I have to do it in a natural environment - what is more
natural than the great outdoors and somewhere that a person is already comfortable! They
seem to forget I'm taking pictures and their true and beautiful personalities really come out
and shine! Plus, what better lighting than what God has given us? Artificial lighting, artificial
props - no wonder everyone hates getting their picture taken! If you don't believe me, give it a
try - I guarantee you'll LOVE the outdoor shots and will never want to go back to a studio!
How long does it take to get our wedding photos back?
That really depends on the time of year! No more than three (3) months EVER guaranteed! It
usually takes no more than 2-3 weeks though.  I can make no promises on a few weeks, but
if it's not back within three (3) months you get a $100 photo enlargement certificate!!!
